Mechanical Engineer

Description:

Responsible for the design and development of advanced High Voltage battery packs for Hybrid and Electric vehicles. Responsible for creating 3D CAD data for Battery components and enclosures.  Responsible for detail and layout drawings and engineering changes. Responsible for material selection and manufacturing feasibility. Conducting design reviews with engineering and manufacturing teams to generate engineering concepts and resolve technical issues. Creating Bill of Materials and updating open issues list. Supporting Business Development activities by creating design concepts and prepare relevant quoting documents. Coordinating with part suppliers and outsourcing parts for prototyping activities. Using structural analysis (Finite Element Analysis) and Thermal analysis (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to improve structural/thermal performance of the battery pack. Designing fixtures for battery assembly and testing. Work with Solidworks, Catia 3D, Solidworks Simulation tools, NX and Visio.
